Interdisciplinary Therapy – A Paradigm Shift in Dentistry
Interdisciplinary therapy is a somewhat mysterious term, and many people associate it with very different concepts. The author will not only define this term in practical terms but will also introduce the individual pieces of this puzzle. With the exception of orthodontics, which he will leave to those more qualified — especially the closely cooperating team of Stopa Praha — he will take a closer look at a broad range of topics that can be used in interdisciplinary therapy.
He will gradually move from adhesive technologies in the form of resin-bonded bridges, through effective techniques of soft-tissue plastic surgery, to autotransplantations and their often surprising applications. Finally, he will demonstrate how these individual elements can be connected into a coherent whole through several complex case reports. The conclusion will be devoted to a reflection on the meaningfulness of complex and interdisciplinary therapy, as well as the risks associated with it.
