How and with what to obturate nowadays the root canal system
The root canal system of each tooth is unique and its preparation, disinfection and obturation present in many cases a great challenge. It is important that we are able to adapt materially and technically to individual situations, based on proven clinical standards. The development of the filling method technique is closely correlated with the development of obturation units, and significant changes have taken place in this area in recent decades. The material of first choice, except in cases where MTA cement is indicated, is still gutta-percha in combination with a suitable sealer. According to the author, the so-called bioceramic sealers based on calcium and silicate are in the future a perspective and an alternative to resin-based sealers.
