Digital Patient Journey – A Unified Aesthetic-Functional Digital Protocol for Aesthetic Rehabilitations
Modern aesthetic rehabilitation requires the integration of facial aesthetics, dental function, phonetics, and digital technologies into a single clinical workflow. This lecture presents a comprehensive digital protocol that guides the clinician from diagnosis and treatment planning to definitive rehabilitation. The workflow combines facial analysis, intraoral scanning, digital smile design, evaluation of vertical dimension of occlusion, and functional assessment to create a predictable treatment plan. Special emphasis is placed on the use of mock-ups and provisional restorations as tools for validating both aesthetic and functional parameters before definitive treatment. Through clinical cases, participants will learn how a digital workflow can improve communication among the patient, clinician, and laboratory while increasing predictability, efficiency, and long-term stability of complex aesthetic rehabilitations.
